In dit artikel worden de aanbevelingen uit de in 2018 geautoriseerde en in 2019 geamendeerde richtlijn Herseninfarct en hersenbloeding besproken, in het bijzonder de medicamenteuze behandeling van patiënten met een TIA of herseninfarct middels plaatjesaggregatieremming en bloeddruk- en cholesterolverlagende therapie.
