Op 30 november 2018 promoveerde Joost Costerus aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op het proefschrift getiteld ‘Lumbar puncture in bacterial meningitis’. Het onderzoek werd verricht onder leiding van promotor prof. dr. D. van de Beek en copromotor dr. M.C. Brouwer. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
