Op 18 oktober 2022 promoveerde Rik Reinink aan de Universiteit Utrecht op het proefschrift getiteld ‘Complications, treatment restrictions and end-of-life care in patients with acute stroke’. Het onderzoek werd begeleid door prof. dr. H.B. van der Worp, prof. dr. L.J. Kappelle en dr. M. Geurts. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
