Op 21 november 2023 promoveerde Aster Harder aan de Universiteit Leiden op het proefschrift getiteld ‘Unravelling the mystery of migraine and cluster headache: Insights into the genetics and biochemistry of these neurological disorders’. Het onderzoek werd uitgevoerd onder leiding van promotoren prof. dr. A.M.J.M. van den Maagdenberg (Universiteit Leiden), prof. dr. M.D. Ferrari (Universiteit Leiden) en prof. dr. G.M. Terwindt (Universiteit Leiden). In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
